ok i want to know if the wifi on these three phones

HTC TOUCH
Iphone
Nokia N95

is it free?

do u simply just connect to your home router? and use the internet on ur phone for free?

For my iphone i only use wifi for all my internet surfing. You just connect to your router and start surfing.
Lets hope that they drop the rates (alot) so we can start using internet thru our phones without getting a loan to pay for it

Yes i use my wifi and not any phone internetplan. Not sure about the others you listed because i hear couple providers have wifi disabled so you go thru their dataplan.

wifi is good for internet surfing. You just connect to your router and start surfing.

Best option for using wifi to make sure you don't accidentally start using the cellular internet is just to go into your phones communication manager (if it has one) and make sure that the cellular data connection is off, or in some cases, turn the radio and data connection off.

As well, if your phone was made be wifi capable and the provider blocked the feature, you can try unlocking it using QPST

On my phone, I have to turn the WIFI on. Then it will connect itself!!!

Procedure is same but it is not at all free.It is based on your network provider for just some cost.
